Spicy Street Food Style Potatoes

Inspired by a popular street food in Sichuan, this spicy golden potatoes are excitingly spicy and crispy.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 bag small potatoes
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 green onion
  • 1 cilantro
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground chili pepper
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp ground white pepper optional
  • 1 tsp chili oil optional

  • 1 Pan

Method
 

  1. Cut larger potatoes in half if needed. 
  2. Bring a pot of water to boil, cook potatoes for 5-10 minutes until fully cooked and drain. 
  3. Chop green onion and cilantro. 
  4. In a frying pan, add cooking oil, put in potatoes. Season with chili pepper, ground cumin, ground white pepper(optional) and salt. Fry for 4-5 minutes until you can see crispy skin.
  5. Add in green onion and cilantro. Stir well. 
  6. Top with chili oil and serve.
