Chinese Century Egg Salad

Century egg salad is a classic Chinese starter dish. It is full of flavors and visually pleasing at the same time! It can be prepared in 10-15 minutes and tastes delicious.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Century Egg
  • 1 Cilantro
  • 4 Cayenne pepper can be fresno pepper or other red hot chili peppers
  • 1 Jalapeño pepper
  • 2 Garlic Clove
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • 2 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tbsp chili oil
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Method
 

  1. Peel the century egg, and cut each in half, then cut into 1/4 slices, place on a plate.
  2. Cut cilantro, peppers into small pieces. Mince garlic.
  3. Put minced garlic and chopped peppers in a bowl.
  4. Heat oil in a pan until almost smoking, pour on top the minced garlic and pepper and it should sizzle. Let it cool.
  5. Add in soy sauce, salt, sugar, vinegar, chili oil, sesame oil and cilantro in the bowl, mix well. This will be the sauce.
  6. Add sauce to each century egg with a spoon and then pour the rest of the sauce in the middle part of the plate.
  7. Enjoy :)
